Cemetery and Funeral Information

The B’nai Zion Cemetery Committee oversees two cemeteries and all matters pertaining to them. It is chaired by Laura Israel. If you would like to reserve your plot or contact the committee for any reason, please email us at: bzcemetery@gmail.com.

 

The Chevra Kadisha (a group that is trained in preparation of the body according to Jewish custom) and Shemirah (sitting with the deceased) is composed of members of all three local Jewish congregations in Chattanooga.

In Case of Death

In case of death, please contact our office at (423) 894-8900 during normal office hours. Outside of our business hours, please contact one of the approved funeral homes. They will be able to contact the Rabbi and the cemetery staff.
